MYSTICAL SIGNS ON THE PATH – Prayer to Saraswati – A Mystical Mandala Across The Ages

MYSTICAL SIGNS ON THE PATH

PRAYER TO SARASWATI – A MYSTICAL MANDALA ACROSS THE  AGES

We are all given Signs across the ages.

Clear signals of our path of pathlessness that can span thousands of years, many lives and many worlds.

Guidance in how to walk in the footsteps of the Divine.

Signs often come from unfathomable sources, people or events that turn up out of the blue, with no seeming connection to where we are or what we are doing, and yet with an obvious message of who we are and how we are to serve on this planet.

I would love you to share one of your Signs.

Here is one of mine.

The Goddess Saraswati*, has been worshipped throughout Tibet, India, Nepal and Japan for over a thousand years.

Her earliest mention was in the Rigveda nearly four thousand years ago as the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, music and art.

She has given me incredibly direct Signs of Her Presence in my life over many lifetimes including this one.

In the time of Padmasambhava in the 8th century my name was Palmo Shonu, manifesting the Wisdom of Saraswati as Princess Mandarava’s astrologer.

I was of the Mingpo Dawa Lineage and studied Saraswati astrology deeply.

In this lifetime I have had a natural ability with many forms of astrology and the stars since birth.

A famous astrologer met me when I was just a young boy and predicted I would meet many famous people and work with them through the Light of Wisdom of the Stars.

All of that came true.

In the time of 16th century, I was a Raj in Northern India.

I was a devotee of Saraswati.

In this lifetime I was paid a visit by Krishna when I was living in Krishnamurti’s house in India in my twenties.

He appeared to me as a female wandering sannyasi in the middle of a storm in the middle of the night.

He told me many details of this 16th century past life as well as giving me an ancient scroll of Saraswati and the Bhagavad Gita and gave me a precise description of the three significant relationships I would have this lifetime, three souls I had known and had relationships with as the Raj in Northern India.

All of that came true.

Krishna told me no matter where I went Saraswati would always be with me.

When I moved here to Japan ten years ago we decided to buy a property out in the country.

We asked my wife’s parents to help us.

We found a lovely piece of land near a forest that we could build.

When we explored further we discovered the forest was next to a beautiful shrine and temple of Amitabha Buddha, Guan Yin, Amaterasu and Saraswati (Benzaiten).

A short distance away by car there is another most beautiful group of temples dedicated to Saraswati.

Some time after we arrived a friend took us to a mysterious temple in Kamakura.

“This feels like you” she said to me.

“That feels more like me” I said pointing to a stream that led to an underground tunnel.

“I haven’t been down there” she said.

“I have” I said (although I hadn’t in this life) but I really felt like I had.

I walked along the stream, underneath the natural archway and into a hidden underground cave.

Devoted to…

Saraswati.

It must have been there for centuries, just not a very accessible tourist spot!

In the last year I was at a business meeting when a Saraswati picture mysteriously arrived, delivered by an unknown sender.

How anyone in Japan knew I was connected to Saraswati I really do not know.

I still have the picture which was such a surprise gift and an amazing blessing.

Several nights ago I had a vision of Yeshe Tsogyal.

I was following Her in the plains of Tibet towards the mountain ranges.

It was exquisite.

I could feel every step.

And I could feel Her.

Deep in my Heart.

At Zabbulung.

Where She attained the Rainbow Body.

In the morning I opened a terma I was absorbing and read these words by the Four Divine Great Sages

“Yeshe Tsogyal…who has discovered the Supreme, the Miraculous

In the past you were our goddess, our sister,

And wise aspiration brought you great wisdom

Leading the celestial musicians with the sound of your lute

We adore you as the Goddess Saraswati”

And in confirmation of the many years of Alchemy I have studied with the Merlin Source group at Avalon, and the years of Kriya Yoga with Babaji and Yogananda the same terma also said

(where Lady Yeshe Tsogyal here is speaking to Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava)

“We practiced meditation…

Then we extracted the essences of medicinal herbs and used them for alchemical metamorphosis of my body.

Then I imbibed the essences of minerals which alchemically transformed my body-mind.

My body became like a Vajra, it could not be pierced by weapons.

My voice gained the quality of Brahma, so that a tigress would be pacified.

My mind became set in samadhi.

Through meditation on Emptiness of the Deity I attained union with that deity.

I repeated mantras such as

The One Hundred Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva,

Practiced Kriya Yoga Tantra,

Recited Mandalas of UpaYoga Tantra…

And transformed…

And now as Lady of the Lake I will serve others.”

(From ‘The Secret Life and Songs of the Lady Yeshe Tsogyal’)

PRACTICE

Here is the basis of the meditation on Emptiness of the Deity that Lady Yeshe Tsogyal mentions in a simple practice to try called THE YOGA OF SLEEP by the Third Dalai Lama.

You can do it with Saraswati or Avaalokiteshvara or Amitabha or any root deity such as Yeshua or Mary Magdalene.

At night before you go to bed see yourself as the divine Saraswati or Avalokiteshvara or Amitabha or Yeshua or Mary Magdalene seated above the crown of your head.

(I was listening to the Dalai Lama in a Medicine Buddha empowerment he gave where he joked at this point that because one of the Lamas he was friends with was totally bald, so he said the Lama should be careful doing this exercise because the Buddha might slide off!!)

At the center of your Heart is your Light Syllable.

I use HRIH, it could be OM or pure Light or AMEN.

As you go to sleep the deity (Saraswati or others) and the Light Syllable (HRIH or another) transform into mystic drops (about the size of a mustard seed) of radiant light and unite in your Heart.

Maintain this Vision of Light and Love in your mind and heart as you sleep.

Then as the clear light of sleep comes upon you gently lift this radiant drop to the throat center with deep reverence and gratitude.

Observe any dreams or visions that occur.

Transform them by dissolving them into emptiness and fill the skies of your vision with ambrosia (golden amrita), clothe the beings in your dream with divine raiment (clothes of light) and see all places as mandala palaces.

Try to see and feel the world as you wake up as a pure buddhafield or christgrid peopled by buddhas and christs or deities.

* NOTE 1 : In Tibet, Saraswati is known as Yang chen ma (Singing/Music Goddess), or Yang chen drolma (Singing/Music Tara) considered the consort of Mañjuśri, Buddha of Wisdom, Saraswati is one of the 21 Taras.

Saraswati is the Divine Embodiment & bestower of Enlightened Eloquence & Inspiration, patroness of the arts, sciences, music, language, literature, history, poetry & philosophy, all those engaged in creative endeavours in Tibetan Buddhism.

This is very relevant to me in this life as I am a performing artist in drama music and dance in this life and my god-daughter is graduating this year from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts as their top performing artist in drama music and dance.

NOTE 2 : The picture above is a rare painting of Saraswati riding a Dragon with a Chintamani Stone.

You will note the similarities to Avalokiteshvara/Guan Yin riding a Dragon with a Chintamani Stone.

This is a special blessing for me because of the Chintamani Stone (a rare deep sea ocean pearl) I received from the Heart of a Guan Yin statue.

Sarasvati, is a Sanskrit fusion word of sāra (सार) which means “essence”,

and sva (स्व) which means “one self”, the fused word meaning “essence of

one self” and Saraswati meaning “one who leads to essence of self-knowledge”. It is also a Sanskrit composite word of surasa-vati (सुरसवति) which means “one with plenty of water”.

NOTE 3 : My super full Dragon moon adventure this past week was very moving in so many ways.

I always enter into such portals in the spirit of total surrender.

So expect nothing, offer all my Blessings from my day to all beings for their liberation and go about my day practicing as normal.

So the first thing that hit me was a massive headache.

I have had them before, like a sinus headache as I am very sensitive to environments, pollution, noise pollution and so on and here I am traveling from the country to and fro from Tokyo!

My wife made me an appointment with the local doctor who is a very jovial fellow like the Laughing Buddha, so I had the day off and went instead to my daughters preschool which Maia will go to in April.

The first thing we were introduced to was a room full of children practicing mindfulness and being taught how to sit straight and still.

The next room was a teacher doing creative dance to indigenous music.

In the third the teacher told us all a story about a Dragon that was birthed from an egg.

It seemed somewhat surreal on the full moon.

Then we proceeded on to the doctor.

He speaks English and when he poked the endoscope up my nose he said “You have chronic sinusitis”.

He showed me the video and said

“Your right nasal passage is normal.

Your left is shaped like a Serpent.

That is somewhat rare. I haven’t seen one before.

I think I will send you to the hospital for a CT scan to check for further infection.”

I was somewhat taken aback.

Anyway my wife and I went, got the scan done and brought the imaging back to the doctor.

“Oh” he exclaimed. “There is hardly anything at all there now.

So little! You don’t need any medicine”.

Both my wife and I looked at each other.

Instant full moon creative manifestation?

It was a very surreal day.

So we got home and Maia said she wanted to draw.

What she drew was most unusual. We asked her to explain.

Being only 3 she said most confidently.

“This is a Rainbow, this is a Serpent, this is New Zealand.”

When you turn the painting on its side she drew New Zealand like a whale.

I decided to go to bed early so after watching the Dalai Lana’s teaching on The Stages Of Enlightenment I had a bath.

As is my practice I use all methods and ways, sitting standing lying sleeping breathing eating bathing as meditation practice.

I drifted off in the bath and then got a sudden shock.

Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava arose as Maitreya in bright radiant extraordinarily stunning blinding light and looked straight at me and drew His finger in circles in the water.

It was a spine chilling vision in terms of how deeply it touched my heart. Goosebumps in a hot bath lol.

Then I emerged filled with awe and went to sleep practicing dream yoga.

I had 3 dreams, one as a child, one as a teenager, and one as an adult, each one teaching 5 people.

The first dream was to remember who we are,

the second to recognize form as form,

the third to know your dharma or personal teaching for your path.

So a very beautiful creative day.

Padmasambhava/Maitreya’s teaching to me was simple.

“I am without Beginning or End. I AM Absolute Being”

I am moved to tears by love.

Over all this time, as I mentioned, I was watching a series of teachings by the Dalai Lama called The Path to Enlightenment.

The Dalai Lama said over and over again…

All religions and spiritual paths have one universal message.

Unity, love and compassion.

The only difference is the paths we use to get there.

Any persons arguing over differences argue only from their own ignorance of the other person’s path.

THE GROUND, THE PATH AND THE FRUIT OF I AM PRESENCE

THE GROUND, THE PATH AND THE FRUIT OF I AM PRESENCE

Diary of a Yogi Saturday 18th November

This week has been an extraordinarily fulfilling week of unfolding compassion, windows into other realms, arising of the Light in the form of the Original Pure Primordial Mother and the gift of the wish-fulfilling jewel.

It is by the blazing light of the Sun of Great Compassion from the Hand of the Father and the Heart of the Mother, without whom I do nothing, that All is accomplished around me.

The clearing of distorted vision, the realization of the ground, the path and the fruit of perfect enlightenment, All naturally occurs in the Heart of Our Mother.

Let us consider what is happening to us all gathered here, sharing as we do in a Divine Sangha or Community, opening Our Hearts to the Teaching of the One Shared Heart.

We are beginning to know the profound awareness that is within us All, the spontaneous I AM Presence or the Buddha, God-Self, the Immaculate Christ Light.

Let us consider how we might explore the ground, the path, the fruit of this awareness and what this means in our path of pathlessness.

THE GROUND – PORTALS OF PRESENCE

We have been exploring for some time the Portals of Presence, those natural energy fields that exist in the realms of Pure Being, that we easily access when we use the Sacred Breath to be silent and still.

“Breathing in I am aware of the inner Light and Love, breathing out I am aware of the inner Light and Love.”

We don’t need to think it or see it, feeling it is the key.

That way all that is left is presence and being, which is nameless, timeless and boundary-less.

As we surrender and let go into Presence we lose all distinction between the outer world and the inner world.

We simply are.

I AM Presence.

Read that again carefully…I am presence…yes you are that divine presence and you have simple access to this infinite field of information and energy and consciousness…the I AM presence, which is nameless, formless and timeless and holds the infinite potential of the stars and all universes because it is composed of the same One Light as the stars.

The Source, the Unmanifest, the Pure Light of Being, the God-Self, the Christ Consciousness is that Light and when you are still and silent and present you open yourself to this ever-present consciousness of being and allow the Light to enter.

It is not separate from you, it is in fact your very essence.

The Way the Truth and the Light, that is who I AM.

This is the Ground.

The Ground of being and pure consciousness, the ground where we and Guru Rinpoche and Guan Yin and Yeshua are inseparable, where the True Self is realized, because it is self-arisen wisdom, with no movement of thought.

This is the true inner GURU found in the silence and stillness of the True Self.

THE PATH – THE FLOWERING OF THE LOTUS

Every day I come across so many souls struggling.

Deep magical souls who struggle with the delusions of this existence, who find the coarse energies of this planet difficult and discover that many souls incarnating here to find the Light pull them from their path of pathlessness because of ignorance.

There are some days they may fall into deep despair and loneliness.

The struggle can seem too much of a burden in isolation.

However there are many of us here who know deeply the path of the Lotus and can help nurture and water the Heart Flower for everyone.

The Lotus in full flower allows us to be present with deep compassion for many others and hold their struggles in our heart as our own.

Then we can offer them a petal of the lotus to open their path to deep presence, the inner Guru.

The Sacred Heart within us all is so very precious you see and so open and willing to embrace its true nature through taking time to be still and breathe.

This flowering of the Lotus could be as simple as working with the stillness within you and keeping it present throughout your day so that you do not give 100% of your energy and consciousness to the outside world but keep some of it within.

You may chant silently a simple mantra like I AM PEACE or I AM OM throughout your day or OM MANI PADME HUM or simply OM OM to help remind you of the primordial sound and light that you truly are.

Or

OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUM

(pronounced “Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hung”)

Then you can be conscious of Source throughout your day.

You become a bridge between God within and the world without.

Within this space of presence inside you all thoughts and actions are purified and the path is free of struggle so that the fruits of the path are also present NOW like a lotus in full flower.

This is the spontaneous Presence of silence and stillness.

This is the path of PADMA or lotus.

FRUITS AND SIDDHIS

Fruits or signs of realization appear as we walk with more certainty on the path through our waking life, in meditation and in dreams.

As I work more deeply, for example, with prayer, mantra and meditation, silence, stillness and presence, Signs of Arising such as deep unshakeable peace, windows into other worlds and Pure Realms, spontaneous healing, deep transference of joy and liberation to those who are suffering arise from the Mother of All and enlightenment occurs naturally.

En-LIGHT-enment does in fact fill you with Light.

“If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of Light.” (Matthew 6:22)

Thankfully these extraordinary insights were left so clearly in the Great Books and Terma to guide us.

It states so very clearly that the fruit of our path is the Light, that the fruit manifests within us as our Light Body and the way Home is simply to practice clear vision.

Clarity of vision in all sacred texts comes through silence, stillness, prayer and meditation, through calmness from mindfulness and heartfulness, since it is when we have peace within, that love and compassion for all things manifests and from that ground clear vision or clear insight comes.

The fruit of the path is not something that occurs “later” or at some time in the future as a result of our practice.

In the ultimate expanse of pure being, which is self-arisen and comes from spontaneous presence, the primordial wisdom of self-awareness is clear and manifest NOW.

This is SIDDHI or accomplishment of Being.

PRACTICE BEING

Try it, now, simply by bringing your attention and awareness to the breath.

Know that you are breathing.

“Breathing in I am aware of the inner Light and Love, breathing out I am aware of the inner Light and Love.”

Feel that you are breathing.

“Breathing in I FEEL the inner Light and Love, breathing out I FEEL the inner Light and Love.”

Many people ask me how to go about their day keeping their attention on the stillness within while being aware of the world without.

Here is a secret.

Spend space and time within in the heart of the child.

“Truly I tell you, become like little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 18: 3)

Try it now.

Imagine you are 8 years old, with all the delight and freshness of seeing this world anew.

You have your whole life in front of you and you have just arrived in the room or place where you are now, reading this.

Start to stretch time and space as you breathe in the heart of your inner child.

Breathe slowly and move in slow motion as you look around.

Pick up something near you very slowly.

Look at your hands as they pick it up as if they are the petals of a lotus, new and flowering.

Breathe in a new way, slowly, long deep breaths, breathing into your lower abdomen. Look at your abdomen expanding and contracting slowly as if it is the first time you have seen it move like this.

Become aware of the light and love that is flooding your body.

Feel it.

Imagine the Light is moving through your body like a wave, entering you from the ocean of light that surrounds you, breathing it in, filling up your body, making it radiant, luminous and bright.

Your whole body is full of Light.

The Alchemy of the Light.

This self-arisen primordial love, light and wisdom, which is the True Self, is the ground, path and fruit, and these three are not different in nature.

They are One.

One Light.

One Love.

Guided by the Hand of the Father and the Heart of the Mother.

These are perceived directly, which is the experience of the Pure Light of Being and is HUM in the mantra of Guru Rinpoche who is the Buddha.

OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUM

This is the great accomplishment phase of our practice.

To know the Light of the blazing Sun of Great Compassion in every moment.

To know the Great Perfection of Being in the Now.

To know or realize the God-Self within.

THE WISDOM OF ONE SHARED HEART

All the great saints and sages, Masters, gurus and angels speak with the same One Heart.

Pray single-mindedly with faith and devotion to the enlightened form of the Christs, Buddhas, Krishnas and Divine Mothers within you.

Obtain the empowerment of immortality through the sacred breath you breathe.

Liberate from birth and death through mindful heartful practice, breathing, breathing, walking, walking.

When you speak, speak with Presence and share your personal story of the Radiant Self by being a shining example of compassion and love to All.

Make enlightened connections in this world and all worlds through the Divine Romance and the Secret Mantra.

We will become endowed with the noble enlightened qualities of the Christs, Buddhas, Krishnas and Divine Mothers.

We will be led to the realm of the Pure Light of Being.

We will mingle indivisibly in the space, the Ocean of the Great Mother.

This is the ground, the path and the fruit.

We carry this sacred flame of enlightenment, the miracle of the inner fire of bliss, within us.

Let it shine.

This is the mantra of the Heart Sutra, the Prajnaparamita Sutra, the Sutra of the Blessed Mother.

USING IMAGINATION AS THE PATH

USING IMAGINATION AS THE PATH

As the Masters say to us, all the Buddhas and Christs, all the Mothers of Divine Wisdom, and all sentient beings are the One Heart and Mind, Source, besides which nothing exists.

Source is without beginning, is unborn, is what you see within and without, boundless, and in that sense you are the Mother, the Christ, the Buddha. Whenever you are attached to external forms and seek outside yourself for the Buddha, you will lose it, for that is using the Buddha to seek the Buddha.

The moment you stop, and be fully present, dropping all worry of being this or achieving that, the Buddha will appear before you, for She is all living things and She is in you.

Ordinary consciousness is spilt into a thousand parts that need to be drawn together. Using our imagination as the path we draw all fully enlightened beings elsewhere into ourself, all energy is to return to Source.

This is why at the moment of enlightenment, within the Pure Light of Being, there is a literal experience of the Light described by all saints and sages.

The energy has returned to Source.

Within us.

Within you.

A direct experience of the cosmos and All That Is.

Alchemy and Tantra are described as using divine imagination as the path.

By imagining and identifying with ideal beings and drawing all deities, Our Light Families, in all world-systems into ourselves.

This is through the path of the divine imagination.

This is the Dalai Lama’s practice and the Dalai Lama’s words.

“Buddhahood…is not withdrawal into nothingness…but a dynamic expression of knowledge, compassion and power.”

You carry the golden flame of enlightenment within you.

Let it shine.

This is the mantra of the Heart Sutra, the Prajnaparamita Sutra, the Sutra of the Blessed Mother.

THE PURE VISIONS OF DEITY YOGA – THE PATH OF PATHLESSNESS

THE PURE VISIONS  OF DEITY YOGA – THE PATH OF PATHLESSNESS

Pure Visions seems an especially appropriate teaching at this time of the Winter Solstice when we are born again and reaffirm our devotion and connection to all our paths, and the celebration of the birth of the Spiritual Son and Daughter, the One Christ Child within us, within our consciousness, in the process of awakening.

Because people are of different capacities, interests and dispositions, Christ and Buddha taught many different paths.

Christ and Buddha both taught “You are the Master”

Matthew 23:10 “There is but one Master, the Christ Within”

and the Buddha as he was dying

“Be a Master unto yourself. Be a lamp unto yourself. Look not for a refuge in anyone other than yourself. In this way, if you are keen to learn, you will reach the highest height.”

and Krishnamurti

“You are the Master and the student. Be a light unto yourself.”

The Christ and the Buddha both taught Deity Yoga, that the ideal being, the God and Goddess-Self is within you.

Luke 17:21 “Behold, the Kingdom of Heaven is within you.”

and as the Buddha Amitabha promised in the Pratyutpanna Samādhi Sūtra

“If you wish to come and be born in my realm, you must always call me to mind again and again, you must always keep this thought in mind without letting up, and thus you will succeed in coming to be born in my realm”

This is an experiential journey about the Pure Visions of Deity Yoga in which the Master in you arises through your practice. There is an exercise for you to try below called “EXERCISE TO TRY” lol. I suggest you read all the way through to understand the journey a little better, but you are most welcome to skip straight to there if you are in a hurry. Please let me know what you discover after trying the exercise.

NOTE : This is a deep and profound teaching. If you have the patience to read through until the end and have questions about the details or about how you might apply this in your own path and practice please ask in the comments below the post and I will do the best I can to answer from my own experience as a somewhat lazy monk.

So to Deity Yoga and Pure Visions…

Deity Yoga manifests in many forms.

They are one aspect of the many rituals, transmissions initiations and resets we are all receiving.

In Tibet for example these practices are transmitted in three ways

the long lineage of kama

the shorter lineage of terma

the profound direct transmission through pure visions or dak nang which is what I will speak to you now of.

Pure visions, such as you are experiencing are of two types

  • meditative experiences of ephemeral and astral world kinds known as nyam
  • pure visions in which the master within you actually experiences receiving the transmission from a deity in a pure realm

The Fifth Dalai Lama has been my main guide and mentor in this respect. He has guided me in the same way as in his own experience, to actually go to the wisdom realms and be given the transmissions encoded in these empowerments. That is how I received the Kalachakra Tantra Initiation under the tutelage of the current Dalai Lama.

One of the most powerful transmissions was involving Metatron and Guan Yin.

Thich Nhat Hanh says to call the name of or to visualise Quan The Am/Guan Yin/Avalokiteshvara in such a way that your mind becomes perfectly concentrated and pure can give you the power to overcome any kind of suffering.

In Sanskrit this ‘calling’ is nama japa or naming prayer. You can apply this to your Beloved whoever He or She is. Calling the name with power, intention and attention helps your mind to become concentrated, and with concentration you become calm, clear, mindful and heartful.

The seeing’ is rupa japa or invoking form. Calling to mind the image of a great being is done, like the naming, with complete presence and sincerity. Only in that way does your mind and heart become still, silent and present with the object of your love, in order to blend and merge with them.

This is not just bhakti, devotion. it is vipashyana, looking deeply, insight, whose foundation is shamatha, stopping and concentrating the mind. Only with sincerity, humility and faith will you bring about tranquility and equanimity.

From my own personal experience it is best for me to keep this incredibly simple, with the open heart of a child, concentrated with humility and surrender to Guan Yin. Over the twenty years or more since She manifested the rare deep sea ocean pearl out of the heart of Her statue for me, the process of surrender has never failed to yield all the miracles and signs, siddhis and healing She has promised.

So I basically have had one focus, and from that very simple, child-like, heart-centred focus, all other great beings have come.

So Metatron, in a way, has come as a real experience to me through Our Mother Guan Yin.

The Dalai Lama directed me in the following way. It took me about a year to work through the Kalachakra Tantra with Him in the most sincere, humble way, involving emptying and surrendering myself to the Divine Presence within. As the Dalai Lama is an incarnation of Avalokiteshvara/Guan Yin/Chenrezig I was very careful to follow His/Her every instruction. As you know I have had both personal contact with the Dalai Lama in the physical and visionary contact to work through these processes with the Fifth Dalai Lama. When I work through an initiation or empowerment I do it very slowly and sincerely, taking a sentence or a paragraph at a time and meditating on it for hours or a day at a time until the wisdom percolates through into my being.

In this particular instance, this is what I was instructed to do. I share it only because this wisdom is already your own so please use it to guide your heart on your path as only you will know how to do. You are not going to use the same wisdom beings in the same way as I do, so please heed their wisdom and guidance and trust your heart and that of the Hearts of Your Light Family. That is always the way of the Master, of whom you all are one.

To understand how I use the wisdom beings you need to understand that in my case my Lama is the Dalai Lama and the path I was initiated in is Avalokiteshvara/Guan Yin through the Dalai Lama and the Dzogchen path through The Fifth Dalai Lama, Padmasambhava, and Sogyal Rinpoche.  My guru is Paramahansa Yogananda and the Kriya path I was initiated in was through Krishna, Babaji, Yeshua, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar, Yogananda and Sri Daya Mata. So I have received these teachings directly. It means everything and nothing. It is not to prove anything, only to bring understanding so whenever I use certain terms or expressions that you are informed where they come from.

EXERCISE TO TRY

Whenever we do exercises, rituals, preparation, resets, initiations, empowerments and so forth the first step is the enhancement of your being, which in simple terms is adjusting your motivation.

This means

  • bringing kindness to yourself and whatever arises through the practice, which ultimately is extended out to all beings and becomes bodhichitta and the Holy Spirit
  • bringing wisdom or prajna into whatever you do. That is why I surrender to the Great Mother Guan Yin or whomever you refer to as the Mother. Be in Her arms throughout this practice.

By this you should understand that even though things seem to exist independently this is not true. Your “inter-being” connects you to each and every thing as soon as you “step into” a practice with deep intention, so you will naturally attract the most powerful energies and support from your Light Family when you feel kindness for yourself and extend this kindness to others. In fact the entire cosmos revolves around kindness, suns extending kindness to planets, planets extending life-giving kindness to their inhabitants and so forth.

You also realise that the illusory nature of this physical earth body is suffering, a veil which you want to be free of, so that you can free others.

Further, things are always changing, impermanent. This is what brings you here. Your many lives, and this one, are constantly changing.

So you have a deep motivation now, the opportunity to accomplish something of great impact throughout the world(s).

Your purpose, your mission, is to bring about all beings’ happiness and bliss, their liberation, and to accomplish this you do so through being a Christ and a Buddha yourself.

This attitude is bodhichitta or the Holy Spirit (ruach) which is cultivating presence, silence and stillness, through the breath, in whatever path you choose to be the Christ and Buddha.

So to whomever the Father and Mother are to you (this could be your Divine masculine and feminine self, or Yeshua and Mary Magdalena or Buddha and Prajnaparamita or Metatron and Guan Yin) you pray “I am requesting initiation to achieve enlightenment for the sake of others”

Kneel on the ground, bring your palms together at the Heart.

Visualise your Lama or mentor or guide or soul guardian in front of you.

As I explained above this is the Dalai Lama/Guan Yin/Avalokiteshvara/ Chenrezig for me,

who will confirm “You who seek to achieve the Secret (Mantra) in this life enter the (mandala)”

Again this can be in your own words with your own intention however simple or complex that may be connecting with your own soul guardian.

At this time in the meditation the Lama and the principal deity and yourself are not different. So for me the Dalai Lama is Guan Yin as I am Guan Yin. I meditate on myself as Guan Yin and the Dalai Lama as Guan Yin. This is a very important part to practice. The awareness is total surrender to Guan Yin in my case for the sake of others.

From now on I will refer to the “Lama” as Guan Yin for simplicity.

She says

“It is meditated that Rays of Light from My Heart, where I represent All Deities – the Divine Father and the Divine Mother – draw you in. You enter My Mouth and dissolve in the Mother’s Lotus”

You are now going to take birth as a child of Guan Yin or whichever deity you chose.

In your imagination you visualise Guan Yin as the Ultimate in Father and Mother aspect, so She is in union with Her Divine Consort.

(At this point in my meditation Archangel Metatron appeared in union with Guan Yin. This was entirely unpremeditated by me and somewhat of a shock since Guan Yin has both female and male (Avalokiteshvara) forms as well as guru (Amitabha Buddha) form)

Rays of Light, spreading out from the hum at His Heart as He now appears in His Divine Father and Divine Mother aspect, draw you into His Mouth, passing down through His Body and into the Womb of the Mother. There you turn into emptiness.

(At this point my ‘self’ was extinguished. There was an extraordinary earth-shattering flash of light and ‘I’ disappeared. This was the first time I had experienced such “lightning dissolution” of everything that is, was and will be. I had, for lack of any better explanation, turned literally into emptiness. The energy and consciousness of emptiness took over this bodily form and as my wife will remember rendered me in a state of presence and peace that lasted just over 24 hours. Three days later I had an experience of the Holy Spirit descending through my crown and into my heart.)

It was a very similar experience to St Paul being struck down by light while on the road to Damascus.

From Acts of the Apostles 9

“As Saul neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him… Jesus said to him “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Saul got up from the ground, but could see nothing…Three days later Ananias went to the house Saul was staying and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptised, and after taking some food, he regained his strength.”

I felt the same sudden light flashing around and within me. It was so astonishing I was “struck to the ground” speechless for around three hours. The deep presence I experienced in my case continued for 24 hours. Three days later I had a deeply profound experience of the Holy Spirit descending like a ball of light through my crown chakra into my Heart.

When you experience the Holy Spirit and the Light entering you, you deeply question all you have ever been told, and observe suffering and the cries of the world in a completely different way. The Source fills you with the energies and consciousness of the invisible world. It is like being filled with the most delicious divine nectar and every part of your being hums and vibrates with purpose and clarity. You realise how much can be accomplished in unity, as one Shared Mind and Heart. You see how important unity consciousness, love, and kindness are for our world. You ask “What is fundamental truth, how do we inquire into that and what would we discover?” “Your own self-realisation is the greatest service you can render the world” answers Ramana Maharishi and this helps to inform our inquiry. What do you think and feel? What is ‘universal’ self-realisation? The deepest truth I have discovered is that fundamental truth is revealed in the Heart when the mind ceases to be active and remains still, open and empty, surrendering to Divine Mother’s Grace. The silence, stillness, love and presence that awakens in this pure awareness, this natural effortless state, is self-realisation or samadhi or God-realisation, when the ‘I’ is extinguished. It is wordless, nameless and timeless. The eternal Self. That has been my discovery and experience. That is where the secular meets the spiritual and the religious. From saints to gurus to Masters to Christs and Buddhas, all meet at this point.
