DIARY OF A YOGI – HOW TO BE THE LIGHT

DIARY OF A YOGI 25th Feb 2018 – HOW TO BE THE LIGHT

How to be the Light?

Ask the Light to be your teacher.

“I” was stunned into silence and stillness today when in deep meditation this morning I heard a Source voice and then the luminous light syllable HRIH manifested spontaneously saying “I will be your teacher”.

It was very other-worldly.

I noted in the lives of the Tibetan Kagyu Lineage Masters that many began their lives reciting the mantra of Chenrezig OM MANI PADME HUM HRIH which arose spontaneously, such as the 4th Karmapa Rolpe Dorje.

The Dalai Lama says, OM MANI PADME HUM or Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus is found beneath the seed syllable HRIH which contains the essence of the Bodhisattva Way (the Archangel, Master or Elder Path).

HRIH is the seed syllable or Light Language Essence of Amitabha, Avalokiteshvara Guan Yin/Chenrezig/Kannon, and the Red Rite of Tantra Alchemy, which is the fire element and the inner fire of bliss or amrita.

Amrita represents great bliss union, usually of two deities such as Amitabha and Pandaravasini, Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, or as I experienced Metatron and Guan Yin.

OM AMI DEWA HRIH is the sacred mantra of Amitabha Amitayus Buddha and it is this Voice I heard.

This chant is known as the Dharani for pulling out Karmic obstructions by the roots and obtaining birth in the Pure Land, the Pure Land of Bliss, Sukhavati.

In Vajrayana “Secret Mantra” or the Alchemy/Tantra of Diamond Consciousness, Amitabha, Guan Yin’s Guru, is known also as Amitayus or Amida and is one of the five Dhyani Buddhas, who together with Amoghasiddhi, Akshobhya, Vairocana and Ratnasambhava represent the 5 wisdoms of the Buddha.

Amitabha is compassion and light, awakening through meditation.

This awakening brings deep awareness of emptiness (sunyata) of all things.

Amitabha Amitayus means Limitless Light or Infinite Light so this is the teaching I am being instructed in and it is that Love and Light and Compassion I always humbly offer to you through these meditations together.

Amitabha Amitayus is the Lotus Family “Father”. This family includes many of the most beloved Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, including Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsogyal, Princess Mandarava, Avalokiteshvara Guan Yin, Tara, and Shakyamuni Buddha.

Those of the Lotus Family like many of us here, work for the enlightenment of all beings, manifest boundless compassion, welcome all to the Pure Lands, and help all gain entry to the Western Paradise, where Enlightenment is certain in this lifetime.

The Lotus Family’s most important technique is visualization of all beings through love, light and compassion as Buddhas and Christs and all the surrounding world as a paradise, One Universal Mandala, where wisdom, clarity and loving kindness serve as our guiding light in all circumstances.

Simply, when we truly see this, our enlightenment energy awakens.

To be a student of the light where the teacher or master is the Light itself is a very profound feeling and a deep realization.

I am a very lazy shoeless monk so when mystical vision unfolds itself like this it is a humbling revelation indeed.

Trust your beautiful heart that already has the seed of Light within it.

Follow your inner guidance, the path of pathlessness, the luminous gateway to the divine Light.

Breathing in “I am filled with divine love, light and compassion”

Breathing out “I fill all beings with divine love, light and compassion”

Continue breathing that way whenever you remember throughout the day, allowing the Light to enter and allowing the Flame of your Enlightened Heart to be the Light of the World for all beings.

MINDFULNESS OF LOVE LIGHT AND COMPASSION

MINDFULNESS OF LOVE LIGHT AND COMPASSION

The key to our path is to be mindful of love, light and compassion with every step, in whatever form or formlessness this takes.

It could be Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, Metatron and Avalokiteshvara Guan Yin, Krishna and Parvati or Light in Union with Love seated on the Lotus flower of compassion.

By constant mindfulness of such divine Energies, our Heart is transformed and delivers us from all distractions, suffering and danger.

Mindful practice in this way allows us to discern and act wisely, to respond appropriately, and to know what to do or what not to do, as the occasion arises.

Looking deeply into the nature of things, through the Alchemy Of Light and Sound, allows us to see all living beings with love, light and compassion, as Buddhas and Christs, and all things as part of the One Universal Mandala where clarity and loving kindness serve as a protection for us in all circumstances.

Compassion is always informed by wisdom, prajna, and understanding.

So our practice of compassion begins with looking deeply, vipassana, at any person or situation.

If we are in conflict with someone, we can look deeply into the nature of their own suffering, and when we see how deep it is we do not want them to suffer anymore.

We can accept them as they are and try to help them simply by refusing to add any more suffering to their ‘plate’.

PRACTICE

Small acts of empathy, affection, kindness, love and understanding all enhance wisdom, prajna.

Here are some simple practices

1) Mindful seeing – being able to see all beings as Buddhas or Christs takes Practice. One simple practice is to keep a picture in your purse or in your phone of the Buddha or Guan Yin or a Bodhisattva Archangel or Elder or any divine being including your partner or yourself if they inspire deep compassion in you and inspire you to be mindful of love of others which in turn fills your own being with love.

By taking good care of yourself you naturally take good care of others.

Think about driving home in your car to see a little child.

If you know you are going to see that beautiful child then you will drive carefully and mindfully and naturally take care of yourself on the way home in order to see that child.

So it is with life.

If we really knew every being was a divine child, just like us, we would take exceptional care of our consciousness, awareness, mind and heart in order to be able to see them and all beings as divine.

2) Mindful hearing – being able to hear sacred names, chants, songs and mantras is a beautiful way of awakening the energy of compassion in our hearts and being able to know all beings as Buddhas or Christs.

Find a name or chant or song or mantra that you can make your own like OM MANI PADME HUM or the Lord’s Prayer or GURU RINPOCHE or another.

Say it every day at special times and in special places to awaken loving kindness and remind you that this same universal hum of loving kindness is alive in each and every person you meet even though they may not be aware of it.

Recalling the sounds of compassion often helps you to rebirth continuously the energy of compassion and love in your heart.

Hearing mindfulness of love often also births Amrita or the Nectar Of Love into your being quite naturally and you will feel the beauty of the divine realm gently melting into your heart.

THE LIGHT IN LIFE

Avalokiteshvara Guan Yin has reminded me all my life through visions and dreams and direct connections that the little things in life are the real Chintamani Stone, the real Pearl.

The small steps we take each day such as the fervent and devotional prayer to Our Father we have said since childhood is like a drop of nectar in the ocean of infinite love light and compassion, washing away fear and bathing us in bliss.

We may not notice how the nectar has been accumulating until one day there is an explosion of Light in our Heart and we realize that the old saying “Before Enlightenment chop wood, After Enlightenment chop wood” also refers to just how important the smallest actions we take each day are when they are done with mindfulness of love and light.

The more present and aware we are in these actions from moment to moment the more they become portals through which we can truly open magic.

Let go of what you think Enlightenment should look like and surrender.

Be open to what is arising within you.

Honor the Beauty and Love, the power and guidance that comes from your own spiritual practice.

Be free to meditate in a new way, to work with a different chant or prayer, to heal with love and unity as you are guided.

Listen to your heart.

Trust your heart that already has the seed of Enlightenment within it.

Follow your inner guidance, the path of pathlessness, the luminous gateway to divine realization.

Breathing in “I am filled with divine love, light and compassion”

Breathing out “I fill all beings with divine love, light and compassion”

Continue breathing that way whenever you remember throughout the day, allowing the Light to enter and allowing the Flame of your Enlightened Heart to be the Light of the World.

NURTURING THE DIVINE SELF – BRINGING MEDICINE TO THE HEART

NURTURING THE DIVINE SELF – BRINGING MEDICINE TO THE HEART

Today I went with my family to the Temple of the Buddha.

This is a beautiful temple, one of my favorites in all of Japan, which has the Five Buddha Families present, so no matter what path we are on, we can find in the Buddhas Hearts and in ours one or more of the five supreme qualities that these Light Families offer to cultivate on our Path.

This could be the wisdom of reflection and diamond consciousness (Vajra Family), or calmness, equanimity, peace and love (Ratna), observation, radiant vision, radiant heart and mind (Padma), or perfect practice (Karma), or the teachings of our path, pure realms, mudra and meditation (Buddha).

I sat there in the temple for just a single breath, as my daughter was adamant we only sit for three seconds, which she counted out loud (she is a very strict master) and yet to my surprise I found the stream of kundalini flowing like a cool stream up my spine instantly in that short period of time.

Such is the wonder of power places, whether human-made or natural.

I was contemplating radiant mind and radiant vision and one morning earlier in the week I happened to be in an office before a meeting and had around 20 minutes just to sit undisturbed.

I listened to the Calm App I use when I am traveling as I find it very soothing to do the practices.

I do it slightly differently than they suggest so I will describe what happened.

I integrate my Daily Practice as I listen and today’s theme was balance and nourishment.

As I have said before I find Yogananda’s Kriya practice so beneficial as it helps me to still the body mind.

So first I need to get the body to be quiet.

I do that through chair yoga, tensing and relaxing and stretching muscle groups starting from the head and working downwards.

Then calming the mind through awareness and mindfulness, which is basically what the Calm App tries to do.

So being aware of and paying attention to the breathing, breathing all the way in until the end of the breath and all the way out until the end of the breath.

The first three breaths I work with the nervous system energies using three Kriya breaths up and down the spine.

At that point my mind lies on a still lake and I surrender.

Surrender is a challenging concept for many of us which is why I have found study of the Dalai Lama’s Kalachakra Tantra and the Vajra practice of bliss and the wisdom of emptiness so very helpful as I have mentioned.

Basically I offer my entire practice and all I am doing for the benefit of others. So at this point my mind is sitting on the surface of a still lake.

Literally.

And it can bring up the most challenging part of all.

To enter into the unknown.

So this time I did.

If I truly surrender everything at that point, and it does take many many attempts at practice, then the radiant mind and deathless state (or the clear light that manifests at the point of death) manifests in the Now.

So it happened again.

In two stages.

The first was, as I let go, my consciousness entered into a vast space, like entering a massive cave that has no beginning or end.

It is an awe-inspiring Vision/feeling as it is like the bottom dropping out of your consciousness as if you are on the top of a rollercoaster ride and as you start to drop you leave your stomach behind.

This is like that except you leave your self behind.

At this point two or three things can happen.

The space can get vaster until there is an explosion of light or sound or you suddenly realize you are in the space and the ‘I’ kicks in and pulls you back to consciousness.

Or as in this case, suddenly, like being struck by lightning, a magnificent vista opened inside the vastness, a radiant landscape, blinding and shocking to behold.

There is nothing like that experience on earth.

And so you realize all that has been spoken of by the Masters is true and everything is in your sacred heart and in the clear light of your infinite mind. God consciousness.

This in turn reminded me of the Medicine King, Bhaisajyaraja.

This Bodhisattva teaches us to have devotion, faith and gratitude for our path and all paths.

Once the Buddha was asked by a Bodhisattva from another world, how does the Medicine King travel between worlds?

In essence the real question was “How does the Medicine King manage to enjoy his journeys in this world and all worlds?”

The key is to know how to enjoy your journey as you walk your path of pathlessness.

Be more at ease.

Life is not a task to accomplish.

Nor is it a scheme or something we have to hurry.

We offer our work and service to others because we enjoy it.

We work without attachment to the outcome.

We work together in a spirit of freedom, liberation and joy.

We are unbound.

To success or achievement.

We do all this with a feeling of contentment or ease.

Like we are on a holiday.

The spirit of liberation is the medicine of the King and Queen in Our Divine Heart.

The Divine Being within us.

We practice non-practice, the action of non-action, doing not-doing.

When someone is in a poor state of being, consumed by negative thoughts, fear and anger, when they don’t have peace or understanding or inclusiveness, then their actions can be harmful.

The quality of our action depends on the quality of our being.

When we are calm, mindful, heartful, fully present, aware, then our presence means a great deal to others, even if we are not physically with them.

This is the essence of non-action.

Our presence becomes crucial for the well-being of others and the world.

We have to look into every moment to see the quality of being that arises from it.

My daughter reminded me of that when she made me meditate for just a single breath in one of my favorite places.

Look into every moment.

See the quality of being in every moment.

Stop.

Pause.

Breathe.

See, hear and feel what is happening to you in that moment.

See the quality of being.

Is it cool, warm, hot, calm, excited, agitated, fearful, filled with joy…

All of this and more is within the One Heart.

All of this is Medicine for the Divine King and Queen Within You.

Learn.

Gain insight.

Meditate upon it.

Free yourself.

DEATHLESSNESS AND THE ULTIMATE DIMENSION

DEATHLESSNESS AND THE ULTIMATE DIMENSION

How to cross the Bridge Across Forever

This week I received a beautiful confirmation.

I have been working over the past three years with communities in heartfulness and mindfulness, empathy and compassion.

This week a new community in Tokyo where I live invited me to come and teach about heartfulness and mindfulness.

I was deeply touched as this will affect some hundreds of people none of whom I have met before.

It brought to mind the promise I made to the Dalai Lama, to go and teach one hundred people about compassion and love and light, and ask them to reach out to touch one hundred more, and so on, until the entire world is transformed.

When I was practicing Jyotish Alchemy of Light Astrology in the USA and Canada around twenty years ago, this is how it worked. I would be invited to one community and work with around one hundred or so people over a week, reminding them of who they truly were, giving them an experience of their true radiant nature, then someone in that group would know someone in another city and I would receive an invitation to go and teach and heal in another city.

We have that incredible power right here and now in this virtual community when we share other’s posts that resonate with us and touch others hearts with our own experiences.

It reminded me of the ultimate dimension we all live in, all the time, whether we are aware of it or not, and the power of deathlessness in our lives.

We live in multi-dimensions all the time and so we touch the hearts of many beings all the time, even if we are unaware of them.

Light Family, past lives, other worlds, these dimensions cannot be separated, although our minds like to think they can.

Most of the time we find ourselves in the historical dimension, subject to the past, present and future, with its limits of time and space, life and death.

Yet we are also living in the ultimate dimension with its limitless, timelessness, nameless, deathlessness, most of the time unaware of this reality.

How to connect these two, moment to moment, so that both are meaningful, practical, and real in our lives?

Through the dimension of awareness in action, the portal of presence in the now, the bridge across forever.

It brings up deep questions.

How can we act in the now to help people bound by history, past-present-future, time and space, to get in touch with their ultimate nature so they can free themselves and live in peace?

Practicing our path and liberating beings is the action of bodhisattvas, archangels, elders and masters.

The action that bridges forever and leads us to the shore beyond is the action of helping all beings to see that even though they live and act in the historical dimension of past-present-future, they are manifestations of the divine, from the ultimate dimension.

To see this is a revelation, to see the True Self, our true radiant nature, God Consciousness within.

To follow this bodhisattva, angelic or the master path is to recognize Being from accessing the silence and stillness within regularly, and seeing our true essential radiant nature, in the ultimate dimension, where there is no birth or death.

It reminded me of the beautiful bodhisattva Sadaparibhuta** who symbolizes our deep faith and never underestimates or doubts our capacity for Buddhahood or to be a Christ Light.

This Bodhisattva within us says “I possess Buddha nature, the capacity to be Christ-like, and I have the capacity to be a Buddha or a Christ Light.”

In the ultimate dimension we already are a Buddha, a Christ, a Krishna and Divine Mother and so we can become one in this dimension of past-present-future.

This true nature is enLightenment and Love, is already present within each one of us, so all we need to do is get in touch with it and manifest it.

When we truly get in touch with the Bodhisattva of faith, Sadaparibhuta, inside us, we remove feelings of worthlessness and low self-esteem in ourselves and others.

We often find our mind searching and asking questions like “How can I become a Christ? How can I become enlightened? How can I get free and help others when I am not free myself?”

We all have these questions and feelings at some time or other.

When we work with the divine power within to encourage and empower others who feel this way, to remind them that they too have the Buddha nature, that they are a miracle, that they can do everything that Christ did and more, we inspire a great message of confidence and hope in others which in turn fills us with the power of the bodhisattva or earth angel.

Sadaparibhuta, in real life, did not chant sutras or practice in the way we would normally think, he did not meditate for long periods of time or go on retreats.

He had a simple special gift.

Whenever he met someone he would say “You are someone special, you are a future Buddha, I see that in you.”

So interestingly this message was not always well received.

Many people who have not gotten in touch with the ultimate dimension struggle with self-esteem and do not believe it when someone says to them “You are a future Buddha.”

In history he was ridiculed, driven away, shouted at, insulted and beaten.

But he did not become angry or abandon those people who pushed him away.

He continued to stay sincere and calm and never gave up on a single person.

I have had this same experience many times.

I am sure you have had it too.

We plant seeds of love and yet there are some people who misinterpret what we are giving them or even perceive it as some attack on them.

This great bodhisattva had a simple action.

The meaning of his life, his practice, was simply to bring confidence and hope to everyone.

When he was dying, Sadaparibhuta was listening carefully to the ultimate dimension. He was ready to make the transition. Just at that point however he clearly heard the Buddha’s voice and through the teaching completely purified his entire body.

He was able to touch the ultimate dimension and attain deathlessness.

This is a very deep listening and seeing.

When we surrender our self at various points in life, and one of them is what we call death, we sometimes get the opportunity to fully access the portal of the ultimate dimension and see that our true Self’s lifespan is infinite or deathless.

Just like the Buddha or the Christ.

Born into eternal life.

This secret to all the teachings and to deathlessness is given to Martha by Yeshua in John 11:25

Yeshua said to Martha “I am the resurrection and the life. She who believes in Me (the God/Christ Consciousness Within) will live, even if she dies.”

And John 5:11

“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son (the God/Christ Consciousness Within, at the Heart Centre, to be found in silence and stillness)

We too can experience this same kind of liberation and transformation as Martha and Sadaparibhuta did.

When our consciousness is prepared regularly through the practice of silence and stillness in meditation and purified through mindfulness and heartfulness we can hear and see the ultimate dimension in the wind in the trees in a garden* or in a piece of sublime music or the look of a loved ones eyes.

The ultimate dimension is around us all the time as I experienced through the eyes and ears of Our Divine Mother Guan Yin* (see Note 1 below).

The message of our own Lotus Heart is a medicine for long life and deathlessness.

We preserve and transmit our inner teachings to many others.

We know that our true nature is unborn and undying so we no longer fear death.

We recognize that every time we enter a portal like silence or stillness it is a portal of death, death to the self, death to mind-made form, death to time, and we stop the world. We stop the perpetual thoughts that make up our self-created identity.

We realize that death is an illusion, just as our clinging to form is an illusion. Death is merely the end of all illusion.

We dare to share this wonderful teaching with all living beings.

And others realize and begin to understand.

Instead of doubting themselves or disbelieving, they see the results of our own practice and get in touch with their own ultimate nature, the radiant true Self.

This is our real practice, the practice of the bodhisattva or archangel, elder or master within us all, to see others with wisdom and compassion and hold up insight of their own ultimate nature so they can awaken and Self-realize and see themselves reflected in that insight.

In one of the communities I work in, in Tokyo, a survey on self-image was given recently to a large group of teenagers. More than 50% of them reported feeling low self-esteem and feeling unworthiness.

Part of my path is working with young people in developing confidence and self-esteem through the performing arts by utilizing mindfulness and heartfulness in their daily performance practice.

It is the same for many adults.

They struggle with wanting to be good at something and feel envy when they look at others, regarding themselves as failures if they have not achieved the same degrees of worldly success.

We need to try to help others who feel this way.

We can come to them and say “I see in you good seeds that with nurturing make you into a great being. If you look deeply within, you can manifest your true nature.”

For example, in a recent Dove report on beauty and confidence world-wide, four in five women in Australia reported low body esteem, and 90% of those reported opting out of normal activities outside of the house, like engaging with friends and family, because they didn’t feel good about the way they looked.

If we know someone who sees themselves as worthless or powerless or has a negative self-image that takes away happiness and peace, we have to try to help them remove such a complex.

This is the practice of an earth angel, a bodhisattva, a master.

We practice so as to not add to these feelings of low self-esteem.

Children especially suffer from our harsh and judgmental comments when we feel tired or irritated.

When we are under pressure or stress we often utter unkind words in a moment of anger.

We are all divine children.

I know many of you great souls are also extraordinarily sensitive beings and in many senses can be very young and fresh and so any of us can sow negative seeds quite easily in each other without thinking, destroying another’s capacity to be happy.

So as healers and teachers, we should be very careful and practice mindfulness and heartfulness in order to avoid sowing negative seeds in the hearts and minds of our fellow human beings.

We need to practice never giving up on people, not losing patience with them, mirroring their own true nature to them, through faith, confidence and inclusiveness, freeing people from negative self-image, helping them realize their own awakening and True Self-image and leading them to the ultimate dimension and deathlessness.

NOTE 1 :

* Divine Mother has given me a gift, the gift of healing.

My gift manifests as the simple act of devotion to Divine Mother.

As I write tears fill my eyes.

It is as simple as that.

Anything I offer to you is Hers.

Any miracle manifested is done by Her Hands, any friendship we share is a Divine Friendship given by Her.

So my day and my night and every waking thought is devoted to Her.

I will share a Sacred Vision she gave me.

My Mother Guan Yin was working Her divine magic in and through me in this healing process.

I received a simple, yet profound message.

LOVE.

I was meditating by a Zen rock garden under a Sakura tree in central Tokyo.

Listening to manifested sounds of the Pyramids of Giza from the Source. When my eyes were opened My Mother Guan Yin gifted me with a sacred gift.

Not a pearl this time (in the past a deep ocean pearl manifested out of the heart of a statue of Guan Yin for me) but a Sacred Vision.

As I walked in the gardens the wind became Her Voice, the petals Her Skin, the light Her Face, the water Her Tears.

It was truly sublime.

She walks the paths with me.

Divine Mother and I are not separate.

It made me think about how the gifts of healing we receive are like the Petals of the Flower of Life.

Pure and Precious Divine Consciousness manifesting through us.

Love You Dearest Blessed Mother.

Thank you for being beside me every moment of my life.

Every person, animal, nature and thing from the crowds gathering, to the rock, to the sky and beyond was immersed in the Universal Mother Love. Thank you again from every part of my heart.

I AM THAT I AM, אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה ’ehyeh ’ăšer ’ehyeh

I am here to do the work of Our Mother in assisting both in Mother Gaia’s ascension and by walking the Path of the Bodhisattva in seeking Krishnahood, Christhood, Buddhahood and healing for all beings.

WHAT IS THE ONE TRUE THING? BE STILL AND KNOW GOD

WHAT IS THE ONE TRUE THING? – BE STILL AND KNOW GOD

Letter to Gilles

The theme of our own self-realization and what keeps us going is a very profound and deep message.

As a student of Paramahansa Yogananda for now over 40 years I can truly say He is one of the most influential teachers on the path of deathlessness and the One Truth along with the Dalai Lama and Ramana Maharshi and other great saints and Masters.

The “One True Thing” as you put it can be viewed from two perspectives.

One is that the “One True Thing” is something you are searching for, so the answer must lie there, in the “farther shore” in the shape of a Divine Source, Unconditional Love or God.

The other way is that the “One True Thing” is unknowable and un-nameable by the “I” that has created the whole search in the first place, and that to get to the “farther shore” practically, one has to totally surrender everything, including the “I”, that as Yogananda says, has created the veil that hides God from you.

Yeshua said the same thing “If you would be perfect, give up all you possess and you will have treasure in heaven, and come follow me” (Matthew 19:21)

This means giving up everything, including the notion of self.

The self is the veil.

As Ramana Mahashi (paramguru of Mooi) says

“Your own Self-Realization is the greatest service you can render the world.

Your duty is to BE.

Not to be this or that.

I AM THAT I AM sums up the whole truth.

The method is summed up in the words “Be still”.

What does stillness mean?

It means destroy yourself.

Because any form or shape is the cause for trouble.

Give up the notion that “I am so and so”.

All that is required to realize the Self is to be still.

What can be easier than that?”

“Be still and know God” (Psalm 46:10)

“The most vital part of meditation, the whole crux of the matter in attaining the ultimate goal of God consciousness is stillness” (Yogananda)

Practically speaking it means the secret to unity is to be able to access stillness at any given moment.

As Eckhart Tolle says

“When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself.

When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world.

Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness.

This is the I AM that is deeper than name and form.

Stillness is the only thing in this world that has no form.

But then, it is not really a thing and it is not of this world.”

So to find the “one true thing” we need to need to let go of form and use the universal bridge across forever, stillness, to access the portal of being and “travel” across worlds, free of form and self and “I” to the universal realm of love, the I AM THAT I AM, אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה ’ehyeh ’ăšer ’ehyeh that God spoke to Moses of in Exodus 3:14

Perhaps it is notable dear Brother that your current search is leading you so clearly to the land of Moses and Aaron and Exodus, because they, like you, like Yogananda, the Dalai Lama, Ramana Maharshi, Eckhart Tolle, Yeshua and Mary Magdalene and all saints and Masters, realize the truth is so very simple.

Be still and Know God within.

“We need no wings to go in search of God, but have only to find a place where we can be alone and still and look upon God present within us”

(St. Teresa of Avila)

MYSTICAL SIGNS ON THE PATH – Prayer to Saraswati – A Mystical Mandala Across The Ages

MYSTICAL SIGNS ON THE PATH

PRAYER TO SARASWATI – A MYSTICAL MANDALA ACROSS THE  AGES

We are all given Signs across the ages.

Clear signals of our path of pathlessness that can span thousands of years, many lives and many worlds.

Guidance in how to walk in the footsteps of the Divine.

Signs often come from unfathomable sources, people or events that turn up out of the blue, with no seeming connection to where we are or what we are doing, and yet with an obvious message of who we are and how we are to serve on this planet.

I would love you to share one of your Signs.

Here is one of mine.

The Goddess Saraswati*, has been worshipped throughout Tibet, India, Nepal and Japan for over a thousand years.

Her earliest mention was in the Rigveda nearly four thousand years ago as the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, music and art.

She has given me incredibly direct Signs of Her Presence in my life over many lifetimes including this one.

In the time of Padmasambhava in the 8th century my name was Palmo Shonu, manifesting the Wisdom of Saraswati as Princess Mandarava’s astrologer.

I was of the Mingpo Dawa Lineage and studied Saraswati astrology deeply.

In this lifetime I have had a natural ability with many forms of astrology and the stars since birth.

A famous astrologer met me when I was just a young boy and predicted I would meet many famous people and work with them through the Light of Wisdom of the Stars.

All of that came true.

In the time of 16th century, I was a Raj in Northern India.

I was a devotee of Saraswati.

In this lifetime I was paid a visit by Krishna when I was living in Krishnamurti’s house in India in my twenties.

He appeared to me as a female wandering sannyasi in the middle of a storm in the middle of the night.

He told me many details of this 16th century past life as well as giving me an ancient scroll of Saraswati and the Bhagavad Gita and gave me a precise description of the three significant relationships I would have this lifetime, three souls I had known and had relationships with as the Raj in Northern India.

All of that came true.

Krishna told me no matter where I went Saraswati would always be with me.

When I moved here to Japan ten years ago we decided to buy a property out in the country.

We asked my wife’s parents to help us.

We found a lovely piece of land near a forest that we could build.

When we explored further we discovered the forest was next to a beautiful shrine and temple of Amitabha Buddha, Guan Yin, Amaterasu and Saraswati (Benzaiten).

A short distance away by car there is another most beautiful group of temples dedicated to Saraswati.

Some time after we arrived a friend took us to a mysterious temple in Kamakura.

“This feels like you” she said to me.

“That feels more like me” I said pointing to a stream that led to an underground tunnel.

“I haven’t been down there” she said.

“I have” I said (although I hadn’t in this life) but I really felt like I had.

I walked along the stream, underneath the natural archway and into a hidden underground cave.

Devoted to…

Saraswati.

It must have been there for centuries, just not a very accessible tourist spot!

In the last year I was at a business meeting when a Saraswati picture mysteriously arrived, delivered by an unknown sender.

How anyone in Japan knew I was connected to Saraswati I really do not know.

I still have the picture which was such a surprise gift and an amazing blessing.

Several nights ago I had a vision of Yeshe Tsogyal.

I was following Her in the plains of Tibet towards the mountain ranges.

It was exquisite.

I could feel every step.

And I could feel Her.

Deep in my Heart.

At Zabbulung.

Where She attained the Rainbow Body.

In the morning I opened a terma I was absorbing and read these words by the Four Divine Great Sages

“Yeshe Tsogyal…who has discovered the Supreme, the Miraculous

In the past you were our goddess, our sister,

And wise aspiration brought you great wisdom

Leading the celestial musicians with the sound of your lute

We adore you as the Goddess Saraswati”

And in confirmation of the many years of Alchemy I have studied with the Merlin Source group at Avalon, and the years of Kriya Yoga with Babaji and Yogananda the same terma also said

(where Lady Yeshe Tsogyal here is speaking to Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava)

“We practiced meditation…

Then we extracted the essences of medicinal herbs and used them for alchemical metamorphosis of my body.

Then I imbibed the essences of minerals which alchemically transformed my body-mind.

My body became like a Vajra, it could not be pierced by weapons.

My voice gained the quality of Brahma, so that a tigress would be pacified.

My mind became set in samadhi.

Through meditation on Emptiness of the Deity I attained union with that deity.

I repeated mantras such as

The One Hundred Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva,

Practiced Kriya Yoga Tantra,

Recited Mandalas of UpaYoga Tantra…

And transformed…

And now as Lady of the Lake I will serve others.”

(From ‘The Secret Life and Songs of the Lady Yeshe Tsogyal’)

PRACTICE

Here is the basis of the meditation on Emptiness of the Deity that Lady Yeshe Tsogyal mentions in a simple practice to try called THE YOGA OF SLEEP by the Third Dalai Lama.

You can do it with Saraswati or Avaalokiteshvara or Amitabha or any root deity such as Yeshua or Mary Magdalene.

At night before you go to bed see yourself as the divine Saraswati or Avalokiteshvara or Amitabha or Yeshua or Mary Magdalene seated above the crown of your head.

(I was listening to the Dalai Lama in a Medicine Buddha empowerment he gave where he joked at this point that because one of the Lamas he was friends with was totally bald, so he said the Lama should be careful doing this exercise because the Buddha might slide off!!)

At the center of your Heart is your Light Syllable.

I use HRIH, it could be OM or pure Light or AMEN.

As you go to sleep the deity (Saraswati or others) and the Light Syllable (HRIH or another) transform into mystic drops (about the size of a mustard seed) of radiant light and unite in your Heart.

Maintain this Vision of Light and Love in your mind and heart as you sleep.

Then as the clear light of sleep comes upon you gently lift this radiant drop to the throat center with deep reverence and gratitude.

Observe any dreams or visions that occur.

Transform them by dissolving them into emptiness and fill the skies of your vision with ambrosia (golden amrita), clothe the beings in your dream with divine raiment (clothes of light) and see all places as mandala palaces.

Try to see and feel the world as you wake up as a pure buddhafield or christgrid peopled by buddhas and christs or deities.

* NOTE 1 : In Tibet, Saraswati is known as Yang chen ma (Singing/Music Goddess), or Yang chen drolma (Singing/Music Tara) considered the consort of Mañjuśri, Buddha of Wisdom, Saraswati is one of the 21 Taras.

Saraswati is the Divine Embodiment & bestower of Enlightened Eloquence & Inspiration, patroness of the arts, sciences, music, language, literature, history, poetry & philosophy, all those engaged in creative endeavours in Tibetan Buddhism.

This is very relevant to me in this life as I am a performing artist in drama music and dance in this life and my god-daughter is graduating this year from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts as their top performing artist in drama music and dance.

NOTE 2 : The picture above is a rare painting of Saraswati riding a Dragon with a Chintamani Stone.

You will note the similarities to Avalokiteshvara/Guan Yin riding a Dragon with a Chintamani Stone.

This is a special blessing for me because of the Chintamani Stone (a rare deep sea ocean pearl) I received from the Heart of a Guan Yin statue.

Sarasvati, is a Sanskrit fusion word of sāra (सार) which means “essence”,

and sva (स्व) which means “one self”, the fused word meaning “essence of

one self” and Saraswati meaning “one who leads to essence of self-knowledge”. It is also a Sanskrit composite word of surasa-vati (सुरसवति) which means “one with plenty of water”.

NOTE 3 : My super full Dragon moon adventure this past week was very moving in so many ways.

I always enter into such portals in the spirit of total surrender.

So expect nothing, offer all my Blessings from my day to all beings for their liberation and go about my day practicing as normal.

So the first thing that hit me was a massive headache.

I have had them before, like a sinus headache as I am very sensitive to environments, pollution, noise pollution and so on and here I am traveling from the country to and fro from Tokyo!

My wife made me an appointment with the local doctor who is a very jovial fellow like the Laughing Buddha, so I had the day off and went instead to my daughters preschool which Maia will go to in April.

The first thing we were introduced to was a room full of children practicing mindfulness and being taught how to sit straight and still.

The next room was a teacher doing creative dance to indigenous music.

In the third the teacher told us all a story about a Dragon that was birthed from an egg.

It seemed somewhat surreal on the full moon.

Then we proceeded on to the doctor.

He speaks English and when he poked the endoscope up my nose he said “You have chronic sinusitis”.

He showed me the video and said

“Your right nasal passage is normal.

Your left is shaped like a Serpent.

That is somewhat rare. I haven’t seen one before.

I think I will send you to the hospital for a CT scan to check for further infection.”

I was somewhat taken aback.

Anyway my wife and I went, got the scan done and brought the imaging back to the doctor.

“Oh” he exclaimed. “There is hardly anything at all there now.

So little! You don’t need any medicine”.

Both my wife and I looked at each other.

Instant full moon creative manifestation?

It was a very surreal day.

So we got home and Maia said she wanted to draw.

What she drew was most unusual. We asked her to explain.

Being only 3 she said most confidently.

“This is a Rainbow, this is a Serpent, this is New Zealand.”

When you turn the painting on its side she drew New Zealand like a whale.

I decided to go to bed early so after watching the Dalai Lana’s teaching on The Stages Of Enlightenment I had a bath.

As is my practice I use all methods and ways, sitting standing lying sleeping breathing eating bathing as meditation practice.

I drifted off in the bath and then got a sudden shock.

Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava arose as Maitreya in bright radiant extraordinarily stunning blinding light and looked straight at me and drew His finger in circles in the water.

It was a spine chilling vision in terms of how deeply it touched my heart. Goosebumps in a hot bath lol.

Then I emerged filled with awe and went to sleep practicing dream yoga.

I had 3 dreams, one as a child, one as a teenager, and one as an adult, each one teaching 5 people.

The first dream was to remember who we are,

the second to recognize form as form,

the third to know your dharma or personal teaching for your path.

So a very beautiful creative day.

Padmasambhava/Maitreya’s teaching to me was simple.

“I am without Beginning or End. I AM Absolute Being”

I am moved to tears by love.

Over all this time, as I mentioned, I was watching a series of teachings by the Dalai Lama called The Path to Enlightenment.

The Dalai Lama said over and over again…

All religions and spiritual paths have one universal message.

Unity, love and compassion.

The only difference is the paths we use to get there.

Any persons arguing over differences argue only from their own ignorance of the other person’s path.

Love and blessings
